For more than 20 years, Pat Newman has built his career around recognizing opportunity, creating value, and helping others do the same.
Pat began his real estate journey as a residential investor and has since been involved in hundreds of transactions across residential, multifamily, commercial, retail, and land. Today, he serves as CEO and Principal Broker of R.P. Newman Realty while maintaining a multimillion-dollar personal real estate portfolio that includes single-family homes, multifamily properties, commercial assets, and land. What separates Pat is his experience from the owner's side of the table. He has bought, sold, renovated,developed,leased, managed, and repositioned properties using his own capital. That experience allows him to advise clients with an investor's perspective - not simply as a broker looking to complete a transaction. His expertise includes investment strategy, acquisitions and dispositions, commercial and multifamily brokerage, property management, development, financial structuring, negotiation, and property repositioning.
FROM EDUCATOR TO ENTREPRENEUR
Before becoming a full-time entrepreneur, Pat was a high school history teacher with Memphis City Schools. After earning his B.A. in History from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a Master of Education from Freed-Hardeman University, his work in the classroom earned him the Memphis City Schools Hero Teacher Award.
Teaching never really left him - the classroom simply changed.
Today, Pat uses that same ability to educate and guide investors, entrepreneurs, and business owners as they make decisions about real estate, ownership, entrepreneurship, and wealth creation.
Pat's entrepreneurial interests extend beyond traditional real estate. In 2012, he founded Prohibition Ultra Lounge and later acquired and transformed a vacant distressed building into the business's permanent home. He has also invested in commercial office space that provides opportunities for established businesses and emerging entrepreneurs.

Pat is the best selling author of Making the Hood Great Again, a practical blueprint focused on using real estate and entrepreneurship to create wealth, economic opportunity, and stronger communities. His commitment to service also includes co-founding an after-school tutoring program for underserved students and serving as Head Baseball Coach at LeMoyne-Owen College.
